Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures across age groups. You will position patients, select protocols, and operate imaging equipment, while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities include post-processing, record-keeping, patient education, and adherence to established imaging protocols. ARRT VI/CI preferred with ARRT licensure required by law.

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital program.
• Licensure compliant in radiologic technology required by law.
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols and radiation safety practices.

4 10's, 7 AM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies.
Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (R).
BLS Certified

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Advance Certification by ARRT in Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiographer (CI) preferred.
