Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our radiology team and provide high-quality patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will work with angiography, venography, myelography, and related studies, ensuring protocol adherence, patient safety, and clear communication across age groups.

A strong emphasis on radiation safety and post-procedure care is essential.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS Certified.
• Advance Certification by ARRT in VI or CI preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates competence in interventional radiology procedures for patients of all ages.
• Position patients, select protocols, and use imaging equipment.
• Maintain competence and follow imaging protocols across procedures.
• Provide patient education and radiation safety.
• Adhere to radiation safety and dose reduction programs.

Schedule: 4 10's, 7 AM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies.
Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (R).
BLS Certified

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Advance Certification by ARRT in Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiographer (CI) preferred.
