Job summary

Pacific Pain & Regenerative Medicine in Upland, CA is seeking an Interventional Pain Management Physician (MD/DO) to join our multi-location practice. Open to part-time/per diem or full-time candidates, with consistent availability on Tuesdays and Fridays in Upland.

The ideal physician will manage a diverse patient population, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and perform interventional pain procedures. Strong licensure and B/C or B/E status, along with CA license and DEA, are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, or related specialty.
• Active and unrestricted California medical license.
• Active DEA registration.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.
• Experience treating personal injury patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
• Perform interventional pain procedures (epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, trigger point injections).
• Order and review diagnostic imaging.
• Recommend physical therapy, chiropractic care, and specialty referrals when appropriate.
• Explain diagnoses, treatment options, risks, and alternatives to patients.
• Document thoroughly in Athenahealth.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, medical assistants, scribes, and staff.
• Participate in provider meetings and follow protocols.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, licensing, and regulatory requirements.

Pacific Pain & Regenerative Medicine is hiring an Interventional Pain Management Physician (MD/DO) for our Upland location. Consistent availability on Tuesdays and Fridays is required, with additional hours potentially available at our DTLA and Irvine locations.

We are open to part-time/per diem or full-time candidates. The ideal physician will be comfortable managing a diverse patient population, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and performing interventional pain procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations
• Perform interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, trigger point injections, and other appropriate procedures
• Order and review diagnostic imaging
• Recommend physical therapy, chiropractic care, and specialty referrals when appropriate
• Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment recommendations, risks, and alternatives to patients
• Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in Athenahealth
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, scribes, and administrative staff
• Participate in provider meetings and follow established clinical and operational protocols
• Maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, licensing, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, or another relevant specialty
• Active and unrestricted California medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice
• Commitment to compassionate and professional patient care
• Spanish proficiency is highly preferred but not required
• Experience treating personal injury patients is a plus

Schedule

• Open to part-time/per diem or full-time candidates
• Consistent availability on Tuesdays and Fridays in Upland is required
• Additional hours may be available at our DTLA and Irvine locations
• Schedule and location flexibility can be discussed based on physician availability and practice needs

Compensation and Benefits

• $2,000 per day for part-time/per diem coverage
