Description

Relevium Pain Specialists is a leading, scaling pain management practice with multiple locations in Nevada and Colorado. We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and skilled full-time board-certified interventional pain physician for our growing Colorado practice.

What makes this role different

We are a personal injury practice, which means our physicians serve as both treating physicians and retained medical experts. Alongside clinical work, you will author expert reports and future care projections, give deposition and trial testimony, and build working relationships within the medical-legal community. It's the most distinctive part of practicing here, and for the right physician it's the most rewarding: you develop a genuine reputation in the medical-legal community, your clinical reasoning gets sharpened by having to defend it, and the medical-legal side opens professional opportunities that a standard pain practice doesn't. We encourage any candidate to ask us about it in detail early on, because it shapes the day-to-day more than anything else on this list.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing acute or chronic pain.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including interventional procedures, pharmacological therapies, and non-opioid pain management strategies.

Perform interventional pain management procedures such as fluoroscopically and ultrasound-guided injections (steroid, PRP, etc.), nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator trials and implants, and other minimally invasive techniques.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, behavioral health providers, Medical Assistants and other specialists, to ensure holistic care.

Educate, supervise, and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers

Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records.

Adhere to state and federal regulations regarding controlled substances and opioid prescribing.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing medical education, and clinic development efforts.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Completion of an accredited residency program (Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or related specialty).

Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (required).

Board certified/board eligible in primary specialty; Pain Medicine board certification/eligibility required. If board eligible, must complete board certification within 1 year of start date.

Current and unrestricted medical license in Colorado.

DEA license with appropriate schedules.

Experience in interventional pain management techniques.

Familiarity with, and efficient use of, electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Knowledge of best practices in opioid stewardship and multimodal pain management.

Ability to build strong patient relationships and foster trust.

Strong diagnostic, procedural, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
