Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our growing neuroscience and pain management team in Augusta, GA. The role includes comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pain using interventional techniques and evidence-based medical therapies.

You will work with primary care physicians, neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedists, and rehabilitation specialists, documenting encounters in the EMR

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, or related field.
• Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using interventional, medical, rehabilitative, and behavioral approaches.
• Perform image-guided interventional pain procedures and implant-related interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and document encounters in the EMR.

MD/DO degree

Residency in Anesthesiology/PM&R/Neurology

Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine

Board Certification or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine

Unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice

DEA registration and controlled substance certification
