Job summary

Veterans Health Administration is seeking a full-time Interventional and Structural Cardiologist for the Gainesville, FL area. The incumbent will join the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, a joint VA/UF academic program, and participate in the full spectrum of interventional procedures.

Responsibilities include patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching fellows, and engaging in scholarly activity. A competitive package with education loan repayment may be available.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an appropriately accredited school
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory
• Residency in Cardiology-Interventional with eligibility for board certification
• Board certification for faculty status if in an academic program

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional and structural cardiology procedures
• Participate in education and training of fellows and staff
• Share call and clinical duties across VA and UF faculties
• Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiology coverage as needed
• Engage in scholarly activity and clinical service improvements
