Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center in Texas is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join a growing program that blends cath lab duties with outpatient and inpatient cardiology. The role focuses on expanding interventional capabilities across East Texas.

You will join a small team of two interventional cardiologists, one general cardiologist, and a nurse practitioner, sharing call and building procedural volume.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in CV disease and interventional cardiology.
• Residency training completed in the United States.
• Fellowship training in interventional cardiology required.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain Texas medical license and credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology services in cath lab and clinics.
• Collaborate with a team of cardiologists and NP to grow the program.
• Help expand interventional capabilities across East Texas.

Position Highlights

• Employed Interventional Cardiology opportunity with BHS Physician's Network, Inc.
• Approximately 50% cath lab and 50% clinic/inpatient cardiology mix
• Dedicated interventional and cath lab time with flexible clinic scheduling
• Minimum call requirement of 7 days per month
• Average clinic volume of 25 to 30 patients per day
• Typical procedural volume of 4 to 6 cases per dedicated procedural day with growth potential
• Join a team of two interventional cardiologists, one general cardiologist, and one nurse practitioner
• Hospital privileges at Nacogdoches Medical Center Main Campus and South Campus
• Opportunity to help expand advanced interventional cardiology services and procedural capabilities in the region

Candidate Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
• Residency training completed in the U.S.
• Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology required
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Ability to obtain a Texas medical license and satisfy hospital and payer credentialing requirements
• Experience with coronary intervention, STEMI management, complex PCI, and development of interventional cardiology programs preferred
