Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced practice care for invasive cardiology procedures. The role includes inpatient and outpatient consultations, pre- and post-care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
• National Board Certification, or eligible to be certified, as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred.

Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Role Scope

This opportunity includes inpatient and outpatient complex consultations for invasive cardiology procedures. The successful candidate will provide pre‑and‑post care for this subspecialty of cardiology. Populations include ACS, CHF, PAD, TAVR, etc. The App will engage in independent decision making, manage procedure related issues and work with all members of the patient care team. The successful candidate will collaborate with consultants and specialists to provide exceptional patient centered care.
