Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Interventional Cardiology team at Columbia Medical Center. This full-time position provides direct clinical care to interventional cardiology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating with cardiologists and the broader cardiovascular team to deliver evidence-based care.

Applicants should be NP or PA certified/licensed in South Carolina with cardiology experience preferred; strong

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Provider with NP or PA credentials.
• Board certified and SC licensed (or eligible).
• Cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or critical care experience preferred.
• Experience with structural heart or interventional cardiology preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong procedural, clinical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to interventional cardiology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate and manage new and established patients using clinical history, physical examination, labs, imaging, and other results.
• Coordinate referrals, consultations, follow-up care, and transitions across the patient journey.
• Collaborate closely with the attending or collaborating physician and the broader cardiovascular team.
• Document and bill for care provided in accordance with standards.
• Apply current research and evidence-based decision-making to clinical practice.
• Participate in quality improvement, performance improvement, clinical research, accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities.
• Support the development of future clinicians by precepting APP students and onboarding new team members.
