Job summary

Texas Health Heart & Vascular Specialists, a member of Texas Health Physicians Group, seeks an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join our Frisco clinic. The role emphasizes clinical patient care with a team of cardiologists, supporting STEMI and call coverage across facilities.

The candidate will work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, supervise APPs, and engage in a collaborative, high-volume practice. Texas licensure and board status in Interventional Cardiology required or eligible.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Internal Medicine residency completed from an ACGME program.
• Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from an ACGME program.
• Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology (ABIM).
• Active Texas license required with start in Nov 2026; credentialing window ~120 days.

Responsibilities

• Work exclusively at the Frisco clinic and Texas Health Frisco.
• Split STEMI and facility call with the team; 15% travel for facility call.
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; supervise APP.
• No opportunity for structural heart procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of interventional and non-invasive cardiologists.

• Internal Medicine residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program.
• Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology completion required from an ACGME program.
• Nuclear and Echo Cardiology training/experience preferred.
• Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology required (ABIM).
• Active Texas license required. Seeking someone who can start November 2026 (allowing 120 days for credentialing).

Position Details:

• 12500 Dallas Parkway Suite 4.600, Frisco, TX 75034
• Employed position with Texas Health Heart & Vascular Specialists, a member of Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG), including very attractive compensation and benefits package.
• The new interventional cardiologist will work exclusively out of our clinic in Frisco and Texas Health Frisco. (Texas Health Hospital Frisco is a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern.
• The team currently consists of 3 interventional cardiologists, 2 invasive non-interventional cardiologists, and 2 non-invasive general cardiologists.
• Call will be split equally. Currently, the team provides call and STEMI coverage at 3 of our facilities in Plano, Allen, and Frisco.
• STEMI call coverage will be shared amongst 4 participating cardiologists.
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
• 15% travel for facility call coverage
• There is no opportunity for structural heart in this practice.
• Supervising physician of APP
• Practice has been open for 6 years
• 20+ ppd
