The Lt. Col. Luke Weathers - Jr.

VAMC in Memphis, TN, is seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist to join its Specialty Care service. The physician will provide state-of-the-art cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings and contribute to program development. Responsibilities include supervising fellows, residents, and students; participating in academic activities; performing PCI and structural heart procedures; and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to advance

Qualifications

• US citizenship and VA policy applicable.
• MD or DO degree in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency in an approved core specialty with board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on cardiovascular disease states for diagnosis and treatment.
• Supervise cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Share attending call responsibilities for nights, weekends and holidays.
• Co-direct a structural heart disease and peripheral intervention program.
• Lead the Cardiology/CCU team and coordinate inpatient and outpatient care.
• Perform PCI and other catheterization/angiography procedures as needed.
