Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, seeks a physician leader to oversee medical direction for the St. Tammany Physician’s Network. You will evaluate and manage patient care standards in collaboration with specialists and primary care teams.

The role includes participating in the development and support of network standards, maintaining clinic schedules per contract, and ensuring high-quality care across the network. A current medical license and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only)

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and medical direction for St. Tammany Physician’s Network. Provides input in the development of standards of care.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients at St. Tammany Physicians Network in accordance with generally accepted standards of medical care for the specialty in which you are licensed.
• Provide input in the development of standards of care for St. Tammany Physicians Network.
• Participate in the development and support of St. Tammany Physicians Network.
• Maintain clinic schedules as noted in contractual agreement.
