This 134-bed inpatient facility maintains the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support interventional cardiology services on an on-site basis. The facility is structured to accommodate day shift cath lab and rounding duties combined with 24-hour STEMI call coverage. Clinical operations are configured to ensure continuity of inpatient cardiac care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period.
The facility is located in Illinois, a state that offers clinicians on assignment a range of seasonal and year-round activities suited to varied interests. The region provides access to winter recreational activities, holiday exhibits, and cultural events throughout the colder months. Clinicians may explore snow parks, tree farms, and seasonal attractions as part of a broader travel experience during the assignment period.
The interventional cardiologist will provide day shift coverage from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with on-site cath lab duties and inpatient rounding, in addition to 24-hour STEMI call responsibilities. Clinical volume includes 3-5 inpatient consults per day, with additional cases derived from those consults. All clinical documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology and prescriptive authority are required for consideration.
