The facility operates with a cardiology group that includes 5 interventional cardiologists, 4 NPs, 2 cardiovascular surgeons, 1 EP physician, and 3 general cardiologists. Clinical operations are structured to support inpatient rounding, STEMI call response, and cath lab procedure coverage.

About the Clinician's Workday

The interventional cardiologist will provide call-based inpatient coverage, rounding on 20-40 patients daily with the support of 1 NP. STEMI call volume is estimated at 0-3 activations per week, and the clinician may expect 0-2 calls from the house supervisor while on call. Cath lab overflow and unassigned procedures may be performed by the locum clinician as needed, with employed physicians managing scheduled cath lab procedures. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment.
