Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA seeks an Interventional Cardiologist to provide medical leadership within the St. Tammany Physician’s Network and to shape standards of care. You will assess, diagnose and treat cardiac patients in accordance with professional guidelines.

The role includes maintaining clinic schedules, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and guiding clinical practice to deliver world-class cardiovascular services close to home.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any ILCOR provided courses such as AHA/Red Cross.
• Interventional cardiology leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and medical direction for the St. Tammany Physician’s Network.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients at St. Tammany Physicians Network in accordance with generally accepted standards of medical care for cardiology.
• Maintain clinic schedules as noted in contractual agreement and contribute to standards of care development.
