Job summary
Phoenix VA Health Care System is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide cardiology services in the Cardiology Clinic and Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Phoenix, Arizona. You will deliver patient care five days a week with on-call coverage as needed and participate in telemedicine to support veterans across VA facilities.
Preference is given to candidates with Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology and expertise in structural heart disease procedures.
Qualifications
- US citizenship in accordance with VA policy
- MD/DO degree from an approved school
- Current full/unrestricted license to practice medicine in the US
- Residency training approved by VA/ACGME/AOA or equivalent
- Board certification in interventional cardiology preferred
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Provide interventional cardiology services in the Cardiology Clinic and Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Interpret ECGs and stress tests and coordinate patient care
- Coordinate care with VA and non-VA referral centers
- Support rotating weekend and on-call coverage as needed
- Utilize telemedicine modalities to enhance patient care
