Job summary

Position Summary

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology has an immediate opening for an interventional cardiologist. The successful candidates will be Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the full range of interventional cardiology procedures. Proficiency in structural heart, adults with congenital heart disease and/or funded research is a plus.

Responsibilities will include outpatient cardiology, attending on inpatient cardiology services, performing procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, and teaching of cardiovascular fellows and interventional cardiology fellows. A record of successful research (clinical or translational) and a track record of mentoring cardiology trainees are pluses

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The responsibilities of this position include building a referral practice and willingness to do outreach and potentially staff an off-site clinic are important. A strong history of developing referring relationships with external providers is a plus.

Position rank and track (fixed term vs. tenure track vs. variable track) is dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
  • MD or DO Degree.
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Board Certified/Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
