Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
• 1+ year of interventional cardiology experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of catheter-based interventions, acute coronary care, and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiography, PCI and stent placement.
• Diagnose and treat acute coronary syndromes and STEMI with emergency coverage.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular evaluations and management.
• Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and imaging studies.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgery, emergency medicine, ICU and hospital teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support patient safety and quality standards.

Job Overview – Interventional Cardiologist

Compensation: $535,000–$590,000/year

Location: Staten Island, NY

Schedule: Day Shift (In-Office)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring multiple Interventional Cardiologists in Staten Island, NY for our client, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on catheter‑based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role will manage complex coronary conditions, perform interventional procedures, provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, and participate in emergency cardiac coverage. The ideal candidate is fellowship‑trained in Interventional Cardiology with strong experience in coronary interventions, complex PCI, and acute cardiac care.

Responsibilities as the Interventional Cardiologist:

• Interventional Procedures: Perform cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions, stent placement, and other catheter‑based cardiac procedures.
• Acute Cardiac Care: Diagnose and treat acute coronary syndromes and myocardial infarction while participating in emergency cardiac intervention and STEMI coverage.
• Cardiology Consultation: Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular evaluations, consultations, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management.
• Diagnostic Interpretation: Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress testing, cardiac imaging, and other cardiovascular diagnostic studies.
• Multidisciplinary Care: Collaborate with cardiac surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, hospital medicine, and other clinical teams to coordinate complex cardiovascular care.
• Quality & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical documentation while supporting patient safety, quality improvement, and applicable cardiovascular care standards.

Qualifications for the Interventional Cardiologist:

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology are required.
• Licensure: Active or eligible New York State physician licensure and DEA registration are required.
• Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology is required.
• Experience: 1+ year of interventional cardiology experience is preferred, including coronary interventions, complex PCI, and STEMI management.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease, catheter‑based interventions, acute coronary care, cardiac diagnostics, and evidence‑based cardiology practices is required, with structural heart procedure experience preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong diagnostic and procedural skills, clinical judgment, communication, patient care, collaboration, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team are required.
