Job summary

Opelousas General Hospital seeks a PRN Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. The role includes equipment checks, room setup, data transfer, and sterile technique throughout the procedure in the hospital’s Cath Lab.

Qualifications require an Associates degree in Radiology with LSRT, ARRT and CPR certification; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiology required.
• LSRT, ARRT, CPR required. ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under supervision.
• Maintains equipment checks and readiness in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Ensures accurate data transfer to the recording system and proper logging for records and billing.
• Assists with patient positioning, radiation parameters, and sterile technique during procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the peripheral vascular system and radiation safety.
