Job summary

Inland Imaging Associates, LLC seeks an Supplemental Authorization Specialist - IR to cover vacation and sick calls at the Holy Family Outpatient Based Interventional Center. Monday–Friday day shift, with a 12% supplemental differential.

The role coordinates, authorizes, and schedules interventional procedures, acts as liaison with radiologists, patients, and payers, and ensures timely preauthorization and clear patient communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of medical office experience required.
• Knowledge of IR procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains insurance authorization and verification from payers for interventional procedures.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and referrals as needed.
• Interacts with billing regarding codes and authorizations.
• Coordinates peer-to-peer discussions between Radiologists and payers.
• Submits clinical documents for appeals and authorizations.
• Guides callers on coding and protocols for procedures.
