Job description

Intervention Specialist

We are looking for a talented Intervention Specialist for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range

$30.00-$40.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students with disabilities.
  • Provide differentiated instruction in one‑on‑one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
  • Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress using data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent‑teacher conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and IDEA regulations.
  • Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies to promote student engagement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
  • Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Intervention Specialist License (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive).
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation.
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
