Birch Agency is hiring a fully licensed Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year in Columbus, Ohio. The Public Charter School setting offers a full-time schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with competitive pay of $48–$50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License required.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.

Birch Agency is hiring a passionate and fully licensed Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year!

Pay: $48–$50 per hour, negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Location: Columbus, Ohio

School Setting: Public Charter School

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

School Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Instructional Setting: Resource / Pull-Out Special Education

What You'll Do

• Provide specially designed instruction through individualized and small-group lessons in a Resource/Pull-Out setting.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with students' IEP goals and academic needs.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies outlined in students' IEPs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to address individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate progress-monitoring data, special education documentation, and student records.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development, review, and implementation of student goals.
• Use differentiated and evidence-based instructional strategies to support diverse learners.
• Establish a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage student independence, confidence, and academic growth.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher.
• Experience providing Resource/Pull-Out instruction strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A patient, flexible, and student-centered approach to teaching.
• A genuine commitment to helping students with disabilities succeed academically.
