Job summary

• Addresses the unique needs of students in caseload, including lifting and positioning of physically challenged students
• Administers evaluations of student progress on an ongoing basis and maintains records
• Follows due process procedures for all referred and eligible students with disabilities
• Meets expectations according to the general education teacher job description
• Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of the students educational program
• Facilitates home-school communication via conferences, calls, and written communications
• Uses technology to support instruction
• Serves as a resource to general education faculty and related services personnel
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator

• Utilizes special methodology for instruction to support student progress using GPS standards
