Job summary

Arizona State University’s School of Social Work in Watts College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Clinical Assistant Professor and Social Work Supervisor, beginning October 2026. This in-person role bridges academic instruction and clinical supervision within a community health setting in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The position will supervise MSW students, establish placements at SVdP Eastside, teach BSW/MSW courses, and collaborate with medicine, nursing, and allied health

Qualifications

• MSW from CSWE-accredited program is required.
• Minimum three years of post-MSW social work practice in health or behavioral health.
• Minimum two years of post-secondary teaching in accredited BSW/MSW programs.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching, and mentorship to MSW students in an interprofessional rotation.
• Establish student placements, supervision structures, and task workflows at the Eastside site.
• Deliver direct social work services in collaboration with trainees within a team-based setting.
• Teach across BSW and MSW programs, in-person and online formats, with CSWE-aligned content.
• Engage in program assessment, accreditation activities, and curriculum development.
• Participate in School life through governance, committees, and service.
