Job summary

Vision Electric & Systems is seeking an intern for Summer 2027 in St. Louis, MO. The internship supports project teams on design/build electrical construction projects nationwide, offering exposure to scheduling, budgeting, and cost documentation.

Applicants should be undergraduates with foundational construction knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, safety-first mindset. Travel to active sites and collaboration with engineers are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Creative, results-driven, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).
• Committed to upholding and promoting a Safety-First culture.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success


• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules
