Job summary

Forvis Mazars LLP is seeking a motivated finance intern to support our Loan Review team across the United States. You will help assess credit risk for commercial borrowers and portfolios, verify loan documentation, and assist in due diligence for M&A and securitizations.

The role involves client interactions, a collaborative team environment, and opportunities for professional development through coaching and mentoring. A flexible schedule is offered within a dynamic, nationwide practice.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Banking Specialization, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).

Responsibilities

How You Will Contribute

• Assessing credit risk associated with individual commercial borrowers and entire loan portfolios in banks and credit unions across the country
• Evaluating completeness of loan documentation
• Performing credit risk due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and securitizations
• Interacting with bank management by recommending alternatives for improvements
• Collaborating with a project team of similar level consultants under the guidance of a seasoned manager
• Meeting with clients either in person or remotely throughout the nation
• Receiving feedback on completed projects and career development from a coaching/mentor program
