Job summary

Novo Nordisk offers a ten-week Active Talent Summer Internship Program in the United States. The intern will support fermentation process engineering, develop KPI tracking, attend meetings, and deliver weekly updates.

Program includes trainings and leadership engagement with mentors, aimed at building hands-on, real-world capabilities. We seek students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a 3.0+ GPA and majors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field.
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• Chemical or Mechanical Engineering majors preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the process engineering in fermentation.
• Develop and track KPI's for the fermentation team.

• Produce a final internship report for management.

NNPILP Early Talent Summer Internship Program
At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For ten weeks, interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. Our internship program also includes instructor-led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns.
Program Start: May 17, 2027
Program End: July 23, 2027

Scope of Position

The intern will support the process engineering in fermentation.

The intern will develop and track KPI's for the fermentation team in broth delivery. The intern will work closely with the PE’s, attend all meetings and provide weekly updates on the progress.

The intern will be expected to produce a final report to present to management team at the end of the internship period

Physical Requirements

• 0% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Chemical Engineer/Mechanical Engineer majors preferred.
• Must be a rising junior or rising senior with a 3.0 GPA or above.
• Excellent computer skills to include Proficiency in Excel, Word & familiarity/capability in most other Microsoft Office applications.
