Job summary

Societe Generale is seeking an Information Security and Risk (ISR) Intern to support the Americas cybersecurity program across Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, and Third-Party Risk Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field.
• Fundamental understanding of communications technologies: email, FTP, Web
• Cybersecurity, Risk, or IT certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple ISR teams to support the SG Americas cybersecurity program.
• Support data protection and vulnerability management initiatives and remediation activities.
• Engage with IT and Risk stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and monitored.
• Produce and publish metrics and reports for key stakeholders (CISO, CIO, CTO, COO).
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities to improve existing processes.

Technical Skills

Profile required

• Understanding of HTTP, web programming, scripting and relational databases
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity and operational risk standards, frameworks and best practices (e.g. NIST CSF, OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, etc)
• Practical experience utilizing AI tools and LLM’s is highly valued
  
  

COMPETENCIES

• Good analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to do independent research and summarize findings
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential
• Experience with MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, Word, PowerBI)

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field with some exposure to cybersecurity

COMPENSATION:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. This is not a benefits eligible position.
