3M is seeking an Undergraduate Sales Enablement, Analytics & Operations Intern for the Transportation & Electronics Business Group (TEBG), starting Summer 2027. Interns work on real projects, gain exposure to senior leadership, and develop data analysis, CRM, and sales insights skills.

On-site in Maplewood, MN with a housing and transportation stipend. Interns typically work 10–12 weeks, up to 899 hours per year.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Prefer background in Sales, Marketing, Business Analytics or related field.
• Completed at least four semesters by internship start; strong academic performance.

The role of Undergraduate Sales Enablement, Analytics & Operations Intern is intended to start in Summer 2027.

Interns work on projects that represent real challenges faced by 3M's business units and mirror the work conducted by full-time members of the department. Through networking and corporate-sponsored events, interns are exposed to many facets of 3M.

Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment. This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.

• Working on meaningful projects that support real business, sales, operations, program, and customer priorities

Each Internship Will Differ Based On The Team And Business Priorities Where The Intern Is Placed. Projects Could Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following Focus Areas

• Business and sales analytics: supporting sales performance analysis, customer trends, market insights, reporting, forecasting support, opportunity identification, and business performance tracking
• Sales enablement and programs: supporting sales programs, tools, training resources, process documentation, communication materials, customer engagement initiatives, and commercial execution activities
• Operations and insights: supporting workflow analysis, process improvement, dashboard development, data visualization, stakeholder updates, project measurement, and recommendations to business leaders

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher, from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Sales, Marketing, Business, Business Analytics, or related field from an accredited institution
• Completed a minimum of sophomore year (4 semesters) by the start of the internship
• Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze information, identify insights, and make recommendations
• Exposure to data visualization, CRM, sales reporting, or sales intelligence tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, or similar platforms
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and presentation skills

Work location

• This role has an on-site working model, with the employees working at least four (4) days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.

3M provides eligible interns with a housing and transportation stipend in accordance with current policy.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
