Job summary

VCA California Veterinary Specialists - Carlsbad is seeking a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join our 24/7 specialty hospital in Carlsbad, CA. You’ll work with an experienced multidisciplinary team and have access to advanced facilities, including imaging, endoscopy, and an in-house lab.

The role offers a flexible full- or part-time schedule, a supportive environment for teaching and continuing education, and a strong referral base within the VCA network.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in state, or the ability to obtain
• Residency Trained or Diplomate Board Certification
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class internal medicine care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, specialists, and clinicians across CVS network.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring within the hospital team

• Innovative team of multidisciplinary specialists provides Southern California with a network of specialty and critical care hospitals at three state of the art facilities: CVS Ontario (San Bernardino County), CVS Murrieta (Riverside County), and CVS Carlsbad (San Diego County)
• Board riders paradise, 175 miles of surfable coastline, dozens of neighborhoods, laid‑back locals, perfect weather

Compensation

• The annualized base for this position is negotiable based on experience and credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $200-$300k.
• This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs
