This person will work closely with ocean and air carriers, drayage providers, freight forwarders, and internal teams such as planning and warehousing to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. The role supports global and local procurement teams during the bid process, facilitates lane setups for overseas contract manufacturers (CMs), manages high-priority airfreight from end-to-end, and oversees payments through our freight pay system. Additionally, this person will also be responsible for developing an international transportation scorecard to track key transportation-related metrics as it relates to exports, OTM capability management, CASS reporting, ZBB (savings) funnel management, sourcing strategy input, and cross-functional continuous improvement. The specialist monitors weekly and monthly KPIs including Load Fill, Detention & Demurrage (D&D), Days at Port, and Spot Rates. They will also drive cost-saving initiatives, manage claims processes when needed, and support cross-functional continuous improvement.
