Job description

The selected candidate for the Operations Agent position will ensure the efficient and timely processing and handling of customer outbound and inbound shipments. Success in this role depends on ensuring compliance with safety, security, regulatory and company policies, and on working well in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will consistently lift items weighing 35 lbs unassisted and 70 lbs with assistance while working in a warehouse environment.

Pay: $23/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Under tight deadlines, performs duties such as sorting, packing, loading, unloading containers
• Palletizing and separation of freight/documents
• Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment
• Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered
• Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor immediately
• Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures
• May assist supervisor in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other employees

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must pass pre-employment and TSA background and drug screening
• Must pass medical physical
• Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs occasionally with assistance
• Must be able to lift thirty-five (35) lbs frequently unassisted
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standards
• This position requires access to secured airport areas. Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, which includes passing a criminal history records check, fingerprinting, and meeting all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Candidates must be able to provide all documentation necessary to support the badging process.
