Job summary

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence‑based, patient‑ and family‑centered care across acute care units.
• Rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical adaptability when transitioning between specialties and patient populations.
• Serve as a resource for staff, promoting best practices in alignment with Magnet principles.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Precept nursing students and new graduate nurses.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Louisiana RN license (or eligibility for licensure) and current BLS/ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty certification(s) such as CCRN, TCRN, or Stroke Nursing (NIHSS).
• Previous float pool or travel nursing experience.
• Demonstrated success in working across multiple clinical settings.
