Job summary

Lockton Companies Chicago is seeking an Associate to manage client exposure, policy summaries, and renewal tracking within a property and casualty milieu. You will coordinate with overseas servicing teams, brokers, carriers, and clients to ensure accurate information flow and timely renewals.

You will support marketing submissions, quote comparisons, and renewal proposals while maintaining high professional standards and client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Affairs, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Experience in Commercial Property and Casualty coverages; international experience a plus.
  • Willingness to travel by automobile and aircraft with overnight stays.
  • Ability to manage heavy workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and professional interaction skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collection of client exposure and policy summary information from overseas servicing teams.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date information on clients, brokers, carriers, and coverages - Renewal tracking and notification to client, Producer, or account executive.
  • Maintenance of account open items lists
  • Client database management and information management of Lockton Partner Portal systems
  • Due diligence review of all client exposures and coverages
  • Preparation and assembly of marketing submission documentation
  • Marketing renewals to incumbent and prospective carriers
  • Preparing quote comparisons and renewal proposals for clients
  • Coverage analysis of all policies under Lockton control
  • Local service coordination and correspondence
  • Participation and leading special client/prospect presentations and other projects
  • Attend department meetings, education workshops, carrier functions, and other events
  • Prepare written correspondence, reports, and analyses as needed

Compensation and Benefits

Lockton Companies LLC is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits and complies with all relevant state/local pay transparency laws. The entry base salary offered for this opportunity may vary, and is contingent upon candidate education, skills, abilities, essential competencies, experience, professional designations, unique qualifications, and geographic location.

Performance Bonus: This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus, based upon the financial performance of the organization and the individual contributions of the Associate.

Qualifications

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Affairs, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of years of experience of Commercial Property and Casualty coverages and services or
    commensurate insurance industry knowledge through business experience and/or course work;
    international experience a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel by automobile and aircraft with overnight stays.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage time efficiently to prioritize heavy workloads in order to meet all
    time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for understanding and quickly executing oral and written instruction.
  • Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the account executive, unit
    manager, and/or others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally and develop strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation, and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Firm grasp of the English language with above-average verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to
    interact with Associates and clients at all levels of responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and similar applications including use of
    spreadsheet applications and formula calculations.
  • Knowledge of foreign language(s) and/or experience working/traveling overseas a plus.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Legally able to work in the United States.
