Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an International Banking Operations Associate 3 to support Standby Letters of Credit and related trade-finance activities. You’ll work with relationship managers and partners to ensure accurate, timely processing and compliance with SLAs.

You’ll engage in cross-functional collaboration, handle complex documentation, and contribute to operational excellence in a global banking setting. This role offers onsite work three or more days weekly and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Standby Letters of Credit, trade finance products, or related banking operations.
• Experience in financial services, banking operations, commercial lending, treasury management, or customer servicing environments.
• Experience reviewing documentation and processing transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to quickly learn complex processes and apply sound judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process amendments to existing Standby Letters of Credit, including increases, decreases, and expiration-date extensions.
• Review financial and legal documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Support maintenance activities and automatic-extension processes that require review, approvals, and execution of defined workflows.
• Prioritize incoming requests and manage competing deadlines while meeting service-level agreements.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal business partners to obtain information, resolve questions, and complete transactions.
• Communicate effectively through email, Teams, and occasional phone conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
