Job summary

Capital Group is seeking an Internal Retirement Plan Counselor to help investors save for retirement. You will collaborate with peers and financial advisors to identify opportunities for American Funds, develop territory coverage, and present retirement solutions.

A bachelor’s degree and sales experience are required, with FINRA SIE and Series 7/66 needed upon hire. Base compensation is highly competitive with bonuses, and a 15% retirement contribution.

You’re motivated by setting goals and measuring your performance against them. You’ll collaborate with peers in the field and financial advisors to identify new opportunities for American Funds. Together, you’ll develop and execute critical territory coverage. You’re well‑versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner. By making personalized outbound calls, you’ll initiate sales and present compelling solutions to promote American Funds and our proprietary record‑keeping solutions.

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.” You have a bachelor’s degree. You are well spoken and upbeat with sales experience. You thrive in team settings. You ask great questions, bounce ideas off others and proactively share your perspective. You have an interest in developing an in‑depth understanding of the defined contribution marketplace. You must hold the FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) in order to apply. You must hold or obtain the Series 7, and 66 (or equivalent) upon hire.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $99,484-$159,174

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
