CLA Fort Myers is seeking an Internal Operations Intern to assist with client tax document processing and workflow management. The role involves reviewing and organizing tax documents, assisting with intake, and ensuring all materials are tracked and current.

The internship runs from January 2027 to April 2027, offering exposure to e-filing, document processing, and entry-level operations in a wealth advisory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

• Assembles client tax returns following established procedures.

• E-filing and other final delivery steps.
• Other responsibilities may include preparation of informational tax documents.
• General operational support and other tasks as requested.

Primary Responsibilities

• Reviews and organizes client incoming tax documents.
• Assists with intake of tax information and prepares for routing.
• Ensures all client documents are being tracked and kept current.
• Organizes, scans and processes tax documents.
• Assembles client tax returns following established procedures.
• Assists team in meeting strict government deadlines.
• E-filing and other final delivery type steps.
• Other responsibilities may include preparation of informational tax documents.
• General operational support and other responsibilities/tasks as requested.

Minimum Requirements

• Working towards the achievement of a bachelor's degree - Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.
