Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Charlestown, MA is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team. Weekday shifts, 4x10s with occasional on-call expectations. Calmly and gently handle our patients according to safety protocols and our core values.

Identify abnormal pathology. Understand hospital estimates and clearly present them to clients. Educate clients in Internal Medicine and provide exceptional care for our patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Calmly and gently approach and handle our patients according to safety protocols and our core values.
• Identify abnormal pathology.
• Understand hospital estimates and clearly present and explain them to our clients.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
• Educate clients in the areas of Internal Medicine and provide exceptional care for our patients.
• Prepare medications and our patients/clients for discharge with concise directions for our clients.
• Support your Internal Medicine team in all aspects of care for your patients.
