Job summary

CSU Veterinary Health System in Fort Collins, CO, seeks a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join the Small Animal Internal Medicine Service. The RVT will provide technical and clinical support, anesthesia monitoring, and assist with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a high-volume teaching hospital.

RVT II/III levels offer mentorship, leadership in training and program operations, with a strong focus on patient care and client service.

Qualifications

• Credentialed RVT or PVT by hire.
• CACVT certification and DORA registration.
• RVT II requires 1 year of clinical experience.
• RVT III requires 3 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and technical support for Small Animal Internal Medicine patients including venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid administration, anesthesia monitoring and sample submission.
• Assist with specialized endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures and maintain equipment.
• Coordinate procedure workflows, document patient care and communicate with clients professionally.
• Support I-131 treatment for feline patients, maintain radiation safety and treatment logs.
• Mentor veterinary students and staff, support hospital operations and teaching missions.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Credentialed RVT or PVT (DORA)

CACVT certification and DORA registration

RVT II: 1 year clinical experience

RVT III: 3 years clinical experience
