Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Georgia.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/BCLS Certification required.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the development and execution of a comprehensive Quality Improvement curriculum, including didactic instruction and resident projects.
• Assist in supervising the Chief Resident in activities (Noon Conference, Academic Half-Day scheduling).
• Participate in resident recruitment activities, including application review and candidate interviews.
• Contribute to program initiatives in research, mentoring and advising, resident wellness, and rotation development.
• Oversee resident appointments and participation on hospital committees; collaborate with data analysts to develop resident-specific performance metrics; distribute performance metrics and supervise improvement plans.
