Responsibilities include exams, documentation in EHR, ordering tests, prescribing medications, patient education, referrals, and occasional Urgent Care coverage. Candidates must hold a MD, Colorado license, ABFM/ABIM board certification, and 3 years of IM residency.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Medicine required and Colorado license to practice.
• Board certification ABFM or ABIM preferred.
• 3 years Internal Medicine residency or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations and obtain comprehensive histories.
• Document patient information in the EHR and ensure accuracy.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests; develop care plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatments for illnesses.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and prevention.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Consult with colleagues on complex cases and participate in after-hours coverage.
