University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is accepting applications for an Internal Medicine Physician at open faculty rank (DOQ) to provide outpatient comprehensive medical care for adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and promote wellness.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate care reflecting evidence-based guidelines and patient/family satisfaction.
• Assess health status of adults and develop plans for health supervision in outpatient setting.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, screening and diagnostic procedures.
• Provide preventive care, screenings, and immunizations.
• Prescribe medications per patient history and current data; monitor effects and interactions.
• Collaborate with internal and external healthcare partners to coordinate patient care and provide internal medicine consultations.
• Take call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays in rotation with other providers.
• Document interactions in medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA.
