Job summary

Mary's Center seeks an Internist to provide primary care at our Maryland and Washington, D.C. clinics. The physician will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with undifferentiated health problems, guided by current research and best practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating care with specialists, ensuring HIPAA compliance, teaching staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for eligible physicians.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and MD or DO medical license in DC and/or Maryland.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine preferred.
• Experience in community health clinic environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary wellness and sick care to adult patients.
• Collaborate with external providers to make medical decisions.
• Coordinate transfers to emergency facilities and hospitalizations.
• Practice medicine within quality standards such as HEDIS.
• Coordinate for sub-specialty care with nursing and social work staff.
• Provide education to patients and staff to improve care quality.
• Support medical assistants and participate in team meetings.
• Participate in weekend clinics and on-call rotation as needed.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
