Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is recruiting two board eligible/board certified internal medicine physicians to join the Baptist Health Internal Medicine Clinic within the AHG network.

Responsibilities include delivering general internal medicine care, supervising residents, performing PFTs and interpreting chest X-rays, and documenting in EPIC. Arkansas licensure is required prior to starting practice; J‑1 visa waiver may be possible.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in internal medicine.
• Arkansas medical licensure required before starting practice.
• Experience in residency education or teaching preferred.
• Proficiency with the EPIC EMR system.

Position Overview

Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock (BHMC‑NLR), Arkansas, in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG) is hiring two board eligible/board certified internal medicine physicians to join the Baptist Health Internal Medicine Clinic. This clinic is part of the 150,000 sq‑ft GME building on the campus of BHMC‑NLR and serves residents of the Internal Medicine Residency program that began in July 2019 with 12 interns.

Responsibilities

• Provide general internal medicine care to patients at the clinic.
• Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and interpret chest x‑rays.
• Proctor internal medicine residents and contribute to their education and training.
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system for all clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified MD or DO in internal medicine.
• Must be able to obtain Arkansas medical licensure before starting practice.
• Experience in residency education or interest in teaching is preferred.
• Ability to work with the EPIC EMR system.
