Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Hospitalist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. The physician oversees the inpatient population, community living center residents, and medical outpatients seeking care.

The physician has authority to admit, treat, discharge, or refer patients within their clinical privileges, and collaborates with nursing staff to determine who needs to be seen.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Licensed to practice in any state.
• BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inpatient medical population, community living center residents, and medical outpatients.
• Decide if a patient needs to be seen when contacted by nursing staff.
• Admit, treat, discharge or refer patients within clinical privileges.

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Hospitalist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Physician is responsible for the total inpatient population of medical patients, community living center residents and medical outpatients who present to the hospital seeking care. When the nursing staff contacts the Physician regarding a patient, it shall be the Physician's responsibility to determine whether the patient needs to be seen or not. The Physician has the authority to admit, treat, discharge or refer patients in accordance with his/her clinical privileges.
