Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Internal Medicine team in Christiansburg, VA. The role focuses on comprehensive primary care in an outpatient setting, with a day shift, full-time status, and opportunities for CME and professional development.

The position requires NP/PA graduate status, state licensure, DEA, and BLS; 1–3 years of experience preferred. A sign-on bonus is offered and compensation ranges from $107,993.60 to $172,785.60 per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with DEA license and RN licensure; BLS-HCP required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.
