Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group is hiring an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient clinic in Phoenix, AZ. You will be responsible for comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis and management of common illnesses, within your scope of practice.

You will collaborate with a physician/medical director, take histories, perform exams, order tests, and make referrals as needed, contributing to quality improvement and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • NP Master's Degree from an accredited program.
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona.
  • Hold and maintain national certification in NP area, under AZ regulations.
  • American Heart Association BCLS.

Responsibilities

  • Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and diagnose common illnesses.
  • Order diagnostic tests and establish diagnoses; provide care and management.
  • Collaborate with physician/medical director and care team.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will help adult patients in our outpatient clinic receive comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis and management of common illnesses.

In this role, you will assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within your scope of practice, collaborating with a physician/medical director. You will take patient histories, perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, establish diagnoses, provide care and management for common illnesses, facilitate disease prevention, make appropriate referrals, and participate in quality improvement programs.

To be successful in this role, you must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with expertise in adult internal medicine, demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency in patient assessment and management, and possess strong collaborative skills for working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • 100% Outpatient clinic
  • In collaboration with the physician/medical director, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice
  • Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies
  • Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement program
  • Works within multidisciplinary team to develop plan for the patient and their family
