Job summary

You will document vitals, allergies, and meds in EHR, handle calls and scheduling, and assist with referrals and care transitions. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and assists clinician during visits.
• Maintains patient flow and accurate documentation in EHR.
• Handles telephone calls, message taking, and scheduling per guidelines.
• Documents vital signs, allergies and medication lists in EHR.
• Orders, referrals and PMS/EHR entries, and coordinates care transitions.
• Adheres to universal precautions and assists with routine procedures.
