Job summary

Wilmington Health seeks a CMA/AEMT/Paramedic to join Internal Medicine Midtown on a full-time basis in Wilmington, NC. You will assist physicians, prepare exam rooms, administer injections, collect data, and support front desk tasks as needed.

Active CMA or RMA certification, completed associate degree in medical assisting or CMA program, and BLS/CPR are required. Preference for one year of clinical experience; EMR duties, patient education, and coordinating care with insurance may be involved.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or RMA Certification from accredited association.
• Successfully completed an accredited Associates Degree program in Medical Assisting or an accredited CMA program.
• BLS/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examinations and assist with exams.
• Administer injections and medications, wound care and patient instruction.
• Collect data and maintain vital statistics in EMR system.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supplies.
• Conduct specified laboratory tests as directed.
• Perform receptionist duties and manage calls and prescriptions as needed.
