Qualifications

• MD/DO required with board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility.
• Hospitalist experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of inpatient clinical workflows and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as physician SME for CDI initiatives across inpatient Internal Medicine and Hospitalist services.
• Review records to ensure accurate, complete documentation reflecting SOI, ROM, and medical decision-making.
• Provide peer-to-peer education on documentation best practices and compliance.
• Collaborate with CDI specialists and coding teams to clarify indicators and procedures.
• Support documentation related to quality metrics, patient safety indicators, and value-based care.
• Conduct case reviews for utilization management.
